Inside the paid app

More than a DOI list checker.

The offline workspace reads full citation records and preserves an audit trail for each decision.

Conservative matching

Smart mode checks DOI, then ISBN, then exact normalized title + first author + year. It never silently fuzzy-matches near titles.

Inspect before export

Review match basis, duplicate count, source files, author, year, DOI, and retained record before downloading.

Four useful outputs

Export clean BibTeX, RIS, or CSL-JSON plus a CSV audit report. Filter by years and include or exclude terms.

Private by construction

The downloaded app has no accounts, uploads, analytics, external fonts, or cloud storage. Its security policy blocks network connections.

Local file support

Combine up to 20 pasted or file sources, 2 MB per file, and up to 20,000 combined records in one analysis.

Clear boundaries

This is a research-preparation utility. Keep backups and review every match before using results in evidence synthesis or high-stakes work.

Questions

Plain answers.

Does the app upload my citation library?

No. The purchased app runs from files on your device. It has no server calls or analytics, and its Content Security Policy blocks network connections.

What can it read and export?

It reads BibTeX and RIS. It exports BibTeX, RIS, CSL-JSON, and a CSV audit report.

Will it catch every possible duplicate?

No. The default is intentionally conservative and avoids fuzzy title matching. It finds high-confidence identifier or exact metadata matches; you should still review the audit and your original library.

Is it a systematic-review service?

No. It is a research-preparation utility, not a replacement for a documented review protocol, librarian, or expert judgment.

Can a lab or company share one purchase?

The $9 purchase covers one individual. Contact support for a team or institutional license.
